I saw Endhiran!!!!!!!!!!!! At last. But it seems I was too late anyway. By the time my family and I roused ourselves and went to see the movie that's making headlines everywhere- Hindu devoted almost two whole pages to Rajni and his latest movie in Magazine(and it was a lot of crap I thought: either stuff like Rajni's losing his magic, or parallel analysing on his greatness)- it seems the first-day first-show fever was wearing off. The only wolf-whistles throughout the whole movie was when Chitti made his first appearance, and that was only by a couple of people who seemed to be there more out of force of habit than anything else.
But it was an awesome movie. I enjoyed Sivaji for the punch-dialogues and the comedy, and I enjoyed Endhiran for its ability to give clean, light and yet not brainless entertainment. Though a few scenes were just plain nonsense- don't get me started on the whole mosquito mode sequence in the middle. That scene was more than stupid, it was laugh-out-loud amusing for the sheer inanity of the whole thing. Aishwarya Rai simply could not act, especially in the last few scenes, and the songs were pretty bad, with a few exceptions.
But still, it's worth a watch. It's definitely a theatre movie, so watch it in the theatre, or don't watch it at all. And when you watch, forget the bad parts and concentrate on the good ones. There are a lot of those!
